2011 / 2012 Camshaft Limiters

These Phaser Limiters for the 5.0L Coyote Modular V8 Engines physically limit maximum cam phasing to 20 crank degrees (10 cam degrees). Four separate phaser limiters, with the proper tuning software, allow the OEM computer to independently control intake and exhaust centerlines. Take full advantage of the benefits of Variable Valve Timing (VVT) when using aggressive aftermarket camshafts without needing to install custom pistons to eliminate valve clearance issues. For maximum performance, custom remapping of the cam phasing ECU control tables is required.

The timeslips below (car # 768) was a back to back test at identical engine and outside temperatures, with the MMR intake installed the car suffered from increased wheelspin (due to the power increase) and this can be seen in the 60 ft time with the intake installed. The car quickly however caught up with the stock pass (left timeslip) and passed it in all other areas and made 2 more MPH over the stock test. Tests were completed on a 100% stock automatic vehicle with 300 miles. Both passes were made within just over 1 hour of eachother. Dynos are great but track times say everything, after all, what good is a dyno test that says you picked up 25HP when the car doesn't show any driving improvements!

This 2-Step connects right to your late model Ford to produce consistent launches and quicker 60-foot times by setting an rpm limit to stage with. When activated, the rpm will be held at a steady rpm and once the green light comes on, release the clutch and take off - but be sure to hold on! The rpm is adjusted with two built-in rotary dials ranging from 1,800-9,900 rpm in 100 rpm increments. A handy LED shows when the launch rev limit is active.
